Hello! I’m an RTS-nominated documentary film-maker specializing in Arts, History, Specialist Factual and Drama recon programmes.

I’ve directed everything from multi-camera performances, to self-shooting access docs, to drama recon, to short films and am lucky enough to have worked with some of factual TV’s best DOPs, editors and composers.

My debut drama short, ‘Janet and Bernard’, was shown at festivals across the world.

Experienced in closely scripted documentary making, I’m particularly enthused by strong visual storytelling, use of music and working with actors.

I’ve made films for BBC, ITV1, ITV2, Channel 4 and Sky, all from pre-production to delivery; I’ve produced and directed work for CNN, PBS and Reelz in the US.

I’m used to collaborating with some of TV’s most prestigious and demanding talent and contributors, and have directed the EMMY award winning series, Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy (episode 5: Tuscany); several episodes of the BAFTA-award winning, Who Do You Think You Are?; and over 20 episodes of the multiple BAFTA, RTS and Prix Italia winning South Bank Show.  My 2013 documentary on Grime, Bow and UK Hip-Hop was the first ever Sky Arts South Bank documentary to be nominated for an RTS Award.

During my career, , I’ve been held up by armed police in a Rio Favela; locked in a strong room with Alan Bennett; got lost in East Berlin with Nick Cave and swam in a thermal lake with Bjork – most of the time intentionally.
